About Book One: Air and Book Two

Recently, I added a post about what I had found on Avatar Wikia. Here is a quick reminder:

I was still curious about Bryke’s references to Miyamoto Musashi’s work, so I searched for this book on Wikipedia. And although I was a little lazy about the books of fire, water and earth, I paid attention to the last two: The Book of Wind and The Book of Void.

The Book of Wind:

Read the first highlighted sentence. It may tell us (and I’m pretty much convinced in that) how Korra must manage with Amon, if she wants to win the ‘war’. We’ve already seen her lack of understanding. So far she doesn’t see the problem between benders and non-benders. She doesn’t see how the non-benders are put in a situation where they might be threatened by benders. She doesn’t see that there is a huge inequality that has got out of control. Not Amon alone, not his people, but all bending-haters she should deal with.

Have you noticed that all councilmen are benders? And how ineffective the police is in fighting the Triple Threat Triad? (we know where their headquarter is, why wouldn’t they just have a one good planned attack and arrest them all?)

Moreover, as said in the Book of Wind, Korra has to get to know how Amon works, but also - what are his points, further reasons (it can’t be just hatred towards benders because of that firebender who killed his family - there must be something above it). When Korra knows that, she would come up with her own way of fighting it. (let me just indicate that this is highly probable that Amon most likely is right, but he definitely has wrong ways in achieving his goals)

Let’s focus on the second highlighted area. Korra definitely is one-sided. Although she would help any person in need, no matter if he/she would be a bender or not, Korra is 100% against The Equalists. She isn’t even slightly interested in Amon’s reasons he states. She is all against, but doesn’t seem to think what exactly had brought Amon to hate benders that much. What are the reasons.

In order to win, she has to look through the society of Republic City. Radical ending with The Equalists (like killing Amon, but it’s highly unlikely, since it’s a kids show) would only strengthen the hatred towards benders. And nothing would be solved. And there would be no winning for her. Since her goal is to bring peace and balance, she wouldn’t achieve that this way.

Korra has to think broader if she wants to understand and comprehend what’s really going on.

ATTENTION - now I will focus on Book Two. It’s all prediction and nothing is sure for 100%. Decide if you want to read this or not. You’ve been warned.

The Book of Void:

There has been a post about Book Two of Legend of Korra. You can find it here (big spoilers there, be careful!). As written there, second book was discussed to be about Korra discovering her spiritual side as the Avatar. So far, Bryke was relying on Miyamoto Musashi’s books. We also know that four elements have been already used as names for Avatar’s books. The question is - how will the next one be named? There’s a hint.

The Book of Void is about spirituality. About something we cannot see. Reading all highlighted areas we can understand that, if Bryke follows their previous “trend”, we got a pretty good look at what Book Two will be about.

So, here it is! This is what I think about it. If you have something on your mind, tell me!

Also, I would like to apologise for all mistakes in this text. I’m not a native English speaker, but I did my best :)

Wondering what book comes after ‘Book One: Air’ in The Legend of Korra?
Maybe there’s a hint! I find that interesting!

So I realized the love triangle will be between Korra -> Mako <- Asami.

Please, Bryke, no.

Poor Bolin isn’t only almost never included in trailers, but also not included in a love triangle.

Let’s hug the Not Included Bolin.

Look what I made!
Anyone with sewing skills?

OMG it’s so beautiful. I took the background from the second episode, I hope no one minds it <3
Lightningbending by ~dann94

Drawing Korra lightningbending even though I’m having a geography exam tomorrow.

Bryke, what have you done to me.

Tahno

Tahno’s eyes are grey/blue - is he a waterbender? :>

Elegant Korra brb squealing

Apart of what we all already want to see in The Legend of Korra, there are two things I want to see too:

 • Korra learning how to be more girly. We all know she is a warrior type, and that’s ultra awesome! But wouldn’t it be adorable seeing Korra acting like a lady and blushing from time to time after getting a compliment or something?
 • Korra interacting more with all those wealthy and important people of the politics world. (and Mako being sad because of it since he’s just an orphan from the street and Korra has an opened door for the better world etc. And then Korra would comfort him and tell him that it doesn’t matter for her and then Makorra would bloom like a cherry blossom and my life would be fulfilled. lol.)

So I was thinking about what might happen after “and lived happily ever after” and I realized that I want a party with all important people. And I drew Korra dancing with Crown Prince of Fire Nation (aka: Zuko’s descendant)! <3

Excuse his face xD
